Senate is expected to reject House bar on SEC fiduciary rule

A bill passed in the House that includes a provision prohibiting the Securities and Exchange Commission from using federal funds to write a fiduciary rule for brokers will not likely survive in the Senate. Congress is set to adjourn soon, and the Senate Appropriations Committee hasn't scheduled a vote on it.
