Texas education board asked to delay AP U.S. history curriculum, exam

The Texas State Board of Education has been asked to delay use of the Advanced Placement history curriculum and test so state officials can review whether the items violate a 2013 state law that prohibits teaching the Common Core State Standards. Some say the curriculum was influenced by the common core. The Texas Education Agency's general counsel says the board does not have the authority to block the exam.
