In-line baggage screening systems few and far between

A House Transportation Aviation subcommittee hearing found that only 17 of 441 U.S. airports will use in-line baggage screening systems by 2006. Subcommittee Chairman John Mica, R-Fla., said, "The federal government must find a way to finance and complete installation of in-line EDS systems at all airports capable of incorporating these systems."
