NYC teachers learn how to mediate conflicts

During the year, but particularly over the summer, New York City teachers flock to the city Department of Education's conflict-resolution training classes, where they learn how to defuse tense situations in the classroom. Some attendees said they'll probably apply the "mini-psychotherapy" they learned during the 30-hour course to their personal lives, as well.
