With oil costs above $130 a barrel and the latest earnings statements from airlines showing major losses, travelers can urge Congress to drive oil prices down by backing Senate bill S. 3268. Introduced by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., the bill reins in oil speculators that trade oil futures and drive up the price of oil. Passengers can visit StopOilSpeculationNow.com, the Web site of a coalition of travel and transportation groups, to support the bill.
