FDA clears Pathway Medical's device for peripheral artery disease

The FDA has granted approval for Pathway Medical Technologies' PV Atherectomy System, a device designed to treat peripheral artery disease by cutting and eliminating plaque from leg arteries. The company plans to start marketing the product in the fourth quarter.
