Michigan university pushes hotel plan, despite opposition

Central Michigan University is pushing forward with plans for a new campus hotel and five office buildings, despite the objections of a hotel and restaurant owner. The university plans to negotiate a lease for a six-story Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, but the owner of other hotels, including a Comfort Inn & Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites, said there are legal issues to consider before moving ahead.
