New York landscapers fight back against leaf-blower laws

More and more New York towns are implementing summer bans on leaf blowers, leaving landscapers without a valuable tool that greatly reduces the time they spend on a job. Environmental advocates say leaf blowers contribute to air and noise pollution, especially during warm summer months when more people are outdoors. The ordinances vary widely: Some are in effect only for the summer, some include weekends year-round and most allow electric blowers.
