Nielsen: Global ad spend up 4% in Q1

Global advertising spending -- particularly in Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, where spending jumped 16% and 10%, respectively -- was on an upswing in the first quarter of the year, according Nielsen's Global AdView Pulse report. But, according to this story in Multichannel News, spending rose just 1% in North America during the first three months of the year and 4% globally.
