Connecticut's Dodd aims to cut ties with financial industry

For about 30 years, Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., has had a friendly relationship with the largest financial firms in the country. The financial crisis, however, has prompted the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee to distance himself from those who have been his biggest supporters. How Dodd's political makeover will be received in Connecticut remains to be seen, however, as he faces a challenge from a little-known Republican.
