Family, friends key sources of drugs for teens

Almost half of teens who misuse prescription drugs get them free from family or friends, who are also the most common source for teens who purchase drugs for misuse, a study found. The Yale University researchers said teens who buy medication for misuse from friends or family are more likely to use alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana and cocaine.
