ESPN recently showed off a new tool that allows home viewers of baseball games to see a digital trail behind the ball when it's hit, predicting the ball's path in real time. The trail, created with a combination of Doppler radar and whiz-bang software, changes color to indicate when a ball has enough power to land in the stands as a home run.
