United announces Q2 loss, plans international capacity cuts

United Airlines will trim international capacity by 7% in the second half of this year as it grapples with a sustained downturn in business travel. The latest round of cuts will leave United with about 11% less capacity for the year. The airline reported a loss of $323 million for the second quarter, beating Wall Street expectations.
