BT will resume FTTH brownfield trials

After a six-month delay, BT will begin ultra-high-speed fiber-to-the-home field trials -- known as fiber-to-the-premises in the U.K. -- over so-called "brownfield" sites, areas where a broadband network and housing already exist. BT, which has completed technical trials for the project, said its FTTH service will reach download speeds of up to 100 megabits per second.
