Economic uncertainty doesn't hinder global M&A deals

Consolidation deals within the global chemical industry are "humming" despite the threat of another recession, with analysts noticing a rise in deals "across the board -- from commodities to specialties," said Chris Cerimele, a director with investment bank Houlihan Lokey. Chemical firms have the means and motivation to pick from a variety of available assets, said Telly Zachariades, a partner with The Valence Group.
