Materials company begins construction of BNSF-serviced rail terminal

A BNSF-serviced multi-user rail yard in Trenton, N.D., is being constructed to accommodate Bakken Shale crude oil shipments as soon as it becomes operational in the second quarter of next year, according to Savage Cos. "Rail is a great option for transporting crude oil, especially given that production is forecasted to exceed current distribution alternatives," said Savage CEO Allen Alexander.
