Restaurant fare can be over the top on fat, calories, sodium

Denny's, Cheesecake Factory, Cold Stone Creamery, Applebee's and IHOP all made the Center for Science in the Public Interest's list of restaurants offering belt-buster menu items with fat and sodium levels that hit or exceed recommended daily intake levels. Although Applebee's and Denny's said they offer some healthier choices, Applebee's Provolone Stuffed Meatballs with Fettuccine has 1,520 calories and 43 grams of saturated fat, while Denny's Fried Cheese Melt has 1,260 calories, 21 grams of saturated fat and 3,010 milligrams of sodium.
