Editorial: Delaying FEMA maps for La. is "reasonable"

Sen. David Vitter, R-La., made "a reasonable request" when he called on the Federal Emergency Management Agency to fix problems with flood insurance maps for Louisiana parishes before releasing them, this editorial argues. "Flood insurance rates for residents will be based on the level of risk indicated by them. And if the flood protection in place isn't accurately reflected, homeowners and businesses are going to take an unfair financial hit," the editorial board writes.
