How teachers can balance give, take in the classroom

People fall into the categories of "givers, takers and matchers" and their success in life is tied to these traits, says Adam Grant, author of the book, "Give and Take." In this interview with educator Larry Ferlazzo, Grant explains the Reciprocity Ring, an exercise he uses in his own classroom to teach students how easy it is to help others. A professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Grant has launched a "No Alumni Left Behind" program, in which former students are invited to update educators on their progress and share how teachers helped them.
