Navy launches communications satellite

U.S. military forces will have better cell reception soon thanks to a communications satellite launched into space last week. The craft is the second in the Navy's Mobile User Objective System, which will have four operational satellites to give 3G-cellular technology to the troops. "You can think of the satellites as the cell towers in the sky," said Iris Bombelyn of Lockheed Martin, which helped build the craft.
