QVC creates social networking feature for its website

Cable shopping channel QVC is introducing a social commerce channel to its website, modeled on Pinterest, as part of an effort to get shoppers to share product collections and get a "heart" from other users. The channel, called toGather, will also allow users to share their photo and image collections on Facebook. "It's about serendipitous discovery. It's about meeting people and them comparing their shopping against each other," said QVC's vice president of social, Craig Donato.
