Research: Many Americans' advisors will retire before they do

Because the average financial advisor is considerably older than the typical worker, many clients will see their advisors retire before the clients do, according to research by Accenture. Most workers are 35 to 44 years old, but the average age for advisors is 50. Most advisors don't have succession plans, research has found.
