Study assesses pediatric dermatology consultations

The patients handled by pediatric dermatologists ranged in age from newborns to 17 years, and 18% were babies aged 6 weeks to 11 months, a study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology showed. Researchers looked at records of 427 consecutive pediatric dermatology consultations and found that infectious diseases, graft-versus-host-disease and dermatitis were the most common diagnoses.
