FERC calls for revisions to grid-security plan

U.S. energy regulators are calling on the North American Electric Reliability Corp. to resubmit portions of its proposal to beef up national grid security on the grounds that it doesn't go far enough to protect against a physical attack. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said as it is drafted the plan does not protect enough substations against the kind of attack lodged by gunmen against a PG&E substation in 2013.
