Study: Female leaders face backlash for helping women advance

Women and minorities who hold leadership positions may face a backlash if they work to promote diversity, according to a University of Colorado study. "Women can lean in and try to bridge the confidence gap all they want, but they’re going to be penalized for advocating for other women, just like nonwhites are," said David Hekman, an assistant professor of management at the college's Leeds School of Business.
