White House earmarks $1.2 billion for grid resiliency

A climate package being advanced by the Obama administration includes more than $1 billion in investments to improve the state of the energy grid to make power networks more resilient to extreme weather events. The funding includes $236 million to shore up the grid in rural areas and $10 million to improve energy infrastructure on Native American lands.
