Drive-Up Convenience Store Aims To Please Time-Pressed Shoppers

Bensalem, Penn.-based Alpine Farm Store has applied a fast food principle by offering drive-through curb service. The 1,200-square-foot store is set to introduce a concept similar to toll roads' E-ZPass, allowing customers to put money into a FreedomPay account. Using a key chain tag as a radio-signal transmitter, customers can automatically charge credit or debit cards.
