FAA to order recall of 1,100 Textron engines

The Federal Aviation Administration will require Textron's Lycoming unit to recall 1,100 defective engines used in general-aviation aircraft. The FAA ordered a similar recall three years ago. The latest recall will cost at least $18.5 million, according to FAA estimates. Textron said it will replace the engines. The FAA order is expected as early as today.
