Online revenue growth surpasses print for major pubs

Revenue growth for online ads outpaced print growth for The New York Times Co. and the Dow Jones Co. in the second quarter of this year, according to their recent earnings reports. The Times Co. reported a 27% jump in online ad revenues, while its newly acquired increased ad revenue by 39% and showed an operating profit of $2.5 million.
