Column: US Airways makes a comeback

US Airways has ranked number one for on-time performance among major carriers this year, The Wall Street Journal's Scott McCartney writes. Last year, the carrier was in last place. "US Airways rallied its work force to focus on one goal -- getting planes pushed back from the gate on time -- and began offering financial incentives to workers for better service," he writes. He also notes the carrier has spent millions upgrading its equipment.
