Wall Street handles temporary short-selling limits

The Securities and Exchange Commission's new limits on short selling were implemented on Monday, and they did not significantly affect trading of shares of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the other financial institutions on the list. Some expected the curbs to disrupt trading, but other than a few minor glitches, Wall Street firms dealt with the limits fairly smoothly.
