California advisory could inhibit online wine sales

A warning issued by California's Alcohol Beverage Control states that third-party service providers need a license to facilitate the sale of alcoholic beverages. Wine makers that use agencies such Snooth, AmericanWinery.com and Bottlenotes to sell their products on the Web might have to restructure their sales models. The move could delay Amazon.com from entering the wine-selling market as well.
