Samsung to invest $4.2 billion in green initiatives

Samsung says it will invest $4.2 billion to become more eco-friendly, with more than half the money going toward the development of green products with fewer toxic chemicals. The electronics giant says it is also pushing for its manufacturing plants to become greener, and that it has a goal of reducing greenhouse-gas emissions at the plants by 50% by 2013.
