Small-business bankruptcy rate seen as "alarming"

Business bankruptcies are on the rise, and most of them are at small companies. Experts say small businesses are less solvent than large corporations and they are having trouble getting loans to see them through until recovery happens. A May membership report from the National Federation of Independent Business indicated that the percentage of business owners having a harder time getting loans rose to 16%, the most since the 1980-82 recession.
