Ariz. wine industry will partner with university

The Arizona Wine Growers Association is partnering with the University of Arizona's agricultural programs to strengthen the state's growing wine industry through an initiative called the "Emerging Wine Industry Strategic Plan." The university will perform research and soil tests, and establish the Southwest Wine Library in Tucson as a partnership with the Prescott-based Yavapai College's Southwest Wine Center, which has a 17-acre vineyard where students learn how to produce and market wine.
