Brachytherapy effective for facial lesions in study

Researchers in Boston were able to treat facial lesions in patients with mycosis fungoides using brachytherapy. The study authors customized surface molds for low-dose, high-dose-rate brachytherapy to treat 23 lesions in 10 MF patients and documented the pre- and post-surgery levels of erythema, scale and induration of facial lesions in the disease.
