Colo. plant's food-safety standards lauded by Sebelius, Vilsack

Leprino Foods' cheese-processing facility in Greeley, Colo., was praised by Gov. John Hickenlooper, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack for its food-safety standards. During the visit, the officials recognized the plant as an example for other facilities in terms of food innovation and safety, the Greeley Tribune reported. Sebelius praised the plant's design because it aims to produce safer food, the paper said. "We really should not take for granted facilities like these," Vilsack said.
