Groups struggle to spread ACA info among Latinos

Community health clinics and organizations are struggling to inform the nation's Latino population about the Affordable Care Act. Many in the Hispanic community do not speak English as a first language, lack knowledge about coverage options and have never applied for health insurance. Health clinics cited insufficient funding and a shortage of trained, bilingual, bicultural staff as significant obstacles to enrollment in a National Council of La Raza survey of 135 Hispanic health clinics and community organizations in 23 states.
