Inclusive camp helps students learn, make connections

A six-week summer camp at Joseph Gale Elementary School in Forest Grove, Ore., offers academics, life-skills activities, field trips and a chance for students with disabilities to connect with peers of all abilities. The camp -- a joint effort between the school district and a nonprofit program -- pairs campers with older mentors and encourages connections through inclusive activities.
