Mass. provider receives EHR grant to enhance patient care

A one-year grant amounting to $48,211 was given by the HHS Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to Spectrum Health Systems in Worcester, Mass., to upgrade its EHRs. The certified EHR system for the provider's outpatient opioid treatment initiative will aid Spectrum in performing tasks related to medication dispensing as well as billing and clinical records management. The system is also expected to enhance the quality of patient care and boost provider cost savings.
