Matt Ian to head creative at TBWA New York as Mark Figliulo exits

TBWA\Chiat\Day's Mark Figliulo is jumping on the industry trend of exiting a major agency to start his own smaller shop. It's expected that the new independent agency will be based in New York. Matt Ian, an executive creative director for Deutsch Los Angeles, will replace Figliulo as creative chief at TBWA's New York office.
