Movie-theater companies target Del. for new screens

Two new movie theaters are expected to be built in New Castle County, Del. Cinemark Holdings is planning a 17-screen theater at Christiana Mall, and Regal is developing a site near the Sears Outlet Center for a 14-theater complex. They will compete with Penn Cinema, which opened last year and features 14 screens and an IMAX theater. "It's an indication that theater companies think they've found a pretty attractive area for development," said Wunderlich Securities analyst Matthew J. Harrigan.
