U.S. tech firms brace for economic fallout of NSA leaks

U.S. technology firms that do business overseas are facing unwanted scrutiny from their foreign customers and partners in light of revelations that many of them have been forced to share private data with the U.S. intelligence community. According to Gen. Michael Hayden, the former head of the CIA and the National Security Agency, American businesses can expect to face "economic punishment" in the global market for quietly adhering to data requests from the NSA.
