The Senate reached an agreement to stop opposing President Barack Obama's appointees to several agencies, but controversy remains over Federal Housing Finance Agency director nominee Rep. Mel Watt, D-N.C. So far, the only Republican senator who has spoken in his favor has been fellow North Carolinian Richard Burr.
