Diagnostics guidelines take aim at CAD treatment gender gap

The medical community is increasingly recognizing that women with positive stress test findings who do not appear to have flow-impeding lesions may still face important cardiac risks. Recently updated guidelines provide some insight in how to use noninvasive diagnostics to understand these risks, and ongoing research will further inform treatment approaches as part of efforts to address the challenges associated with cardiovascular care of women.
