Venture capital firms see opportunity in cybersecurity innovation

Enterprise demand for innovative new security solutions will drive a spike in the amount of private funding flowing into cybersecurity startups, according to a study from PrivCo. The financial data firm forecasts a 74% increase in seed capital for early stage cybersecurity companies, with startups expected to see $788 million in venture capital money this year, up from $452 million last year and $160 million in 2011.
