Researchers working to make blood types compatible

Laboratories in the U.S. and Canada are developing technology to make different types of blood more compatible. Massachusetts-based ZymeQuest is working on removing the A and B antigens in blood cells, turning them into type O. In Canada, researchers are attempting to hide the Rh antigen, which could boost universal donor numbers 46%.
