Bridge collapses at floating casino, sending workers into lake

Several construction workers were spilled into Lake Michigan on Tuesday when an enclosed walkway collapsed at a floating casino near Chicago. According to a fire inspector, a barge shifted as the walkway was being attached to the new Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind., and seven workers from both the barge and the bridge fell into the lake from as high as 15 feet. Two workers were trapped briefly inside the bridge, which was submerged in several feet of water, but no serious injuries were reported.
