N.C. TV station to begin mobile DTV field trials

A Raleigh-Durham, N.C., TV station will begin field tests this week on the first system that would allow broadcasters to send digital-TV signals to wireless devices, such as cell phones, laptop computers and digital-media players. To deliver the signals, WRAL will use a technology called MPH developed by LG Electronics, Zenith Electronics and Harris, which will assist in the tests.
