Report questions D.C. plan to add art, music, P.E. teachers

D.C. schools chancellor Michelle A. Rhee's plan to expand music, art and P.E. by placing specialists for each subject in every public school drew widespread praise initially, but a new report says the plan could trigger teacher shortages, funding gaps and large class sizes. Rhee's spokeswoman, Mafara Hobson, said the report is flawed and based on unrevised budget data.
